Brixton Toolbox is a proposal for a new community venue and enterprise hub. The concept was originally developed for the Meanwhile Brixton site on Pope’s Road, on the former car park and ice rink site.

We are a group of local businesses and community organisations focusing on youth training and emerging technology and food businesses. Brixton Toolbox has three separate components:

  • Food: a small bar, restaurant and café, with facilities shared with the community. The kitchen units will be available for training and use by local food businesses as well as hosting street food events like the the Brixton Food Fest.
  • Enterprise: workspace for local businesses in recycled shipping containers stacked around the central event space. A small number of the ground floor containers will also be made available to local retailers.
  • Events: bringing new types of performance and technology events to Brixton and providing a new space for community groups such as somewhereto_.

Brixton Toolbox will complement Brixton’s existing facilities and initiatives supported by the council and we are adding new partners all the time. Please contact us if you would like to be part of Brixton Toolbox or if you have any queries or comments.
